What do the Friends do?

Fort Macon State Park hosts the largest, most well-preserved structure in any North Carolina State Park.  This unique parcel located on the eastern tip of Bogue Banks benefits from the support of The Friends of Fort Macon. When state funding needs assistance, the Friends step up to the task. The Friends have financially supported hiking trails, a gazebo, a historic battle flag, cannons, exhibits, educational tours, family-friendly concerts, the 5 and 10K Mosquito Run, the Howling Hayride, and a Blasting New Year’s Eve. With much to be done, much help is needed. Become a member by signing up today!

The Ramparts is a newsletter printed twice a year with informative articles about the Fort and mailed to all current members. Below are links to some of the past issues.
