Mosquito Run at Fort Macon
10 K, 5 K, HIKE
AMAZING Race yesterday! Almost doubled participants of our 1st Mosquito Run! Weather awesome (except for wind)! Hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did! Amos Mosquito’s was an enormous help with their sponsorship as well as gift certificates for winners. Many thanks to those who contributed donations such as Harris Teeter’s Grocery, Garrison’s, Fort Macon’s Eastern National Giftshop! They provided such necessities as bananas and oranges, water, discount certificates and goody bags. Friends of Fort Macon provided 2nd and 3rd place Gift Certificates.
For the most part it was smooth going. Apparently, there were a few missing Participant bags with giveaways and t-shirts. If you were part of that group, please send an email to FriendsofFortMacon@gmail.com . We are rethinking this process for next year.
In addition, there are leftover t-shirts on sale at the Giftshop at Fort Macon for $15 each. There are adult sizes, mostly Medium and Large.
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR! Mark your calendar, May 5, 2018.
